Last month Michael and I hopped on a plane out west for what ended up being four of the most picture perfect days in my short history. You know those days where things just seem to go right? You hit all the green lights on the highway, or you get the last two tickets to the movie you thought would be sold out? It was that kind of trip.

Griffith Observatory filled my deep space loving heart. Marc Maron in Pasadena made the two hour midnight drive through the desert worth it, bad truck stop coffee and all. I had maybe the best tuna melt of all time, and the biggest pancakes in the world. But the real highlight of the trip was finding some silence in a landscape that I’ve never seen before. Next time we’ll have to stay a little longer. xo

One day in LA and three nights in Joshua Tree.
